About Our Practice
Dr. Karassi joined Princeton Baptist Medical Center in 1999 with the primary focus of treating the Endocrine related issues such as diabetes and thyroid issues within the Greater Birmingham Area and surrounding areas as well.
Our team strives to keep up with the latest technology to provide the best quality service. We currently perform in house ultrasounds and biopsies on the thyroid, draw A1c levels in-house, have Medtronic insulin pump options for our patients and the opportunity for insulin pump patients to meet with Medtronic representatives at our clinic two days in the week, Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems are also used in order to help patients get their diabetes under control and prevent complications.
Our office currently operates in Birmingham and Alabaster on the campuses of Brookwood Baptist hospitals. Referrals from primary care physicians are encouraged in order to schedule an appointment. Please have your PCP fax referrals to (205) 202-4983 and someone from our staff will call you to schedule. You may also request an appointment on our Contact page!
